Remembering a Cherished Moment With Sunita Williams

It was in 2013 when our own Dr. Kallol Ghosh had the privilege of meeting Sunita Williams, a name that needs no introduction.

In a meeting with students where both personnel were present, Dr Kallol Ghosh shared what he and OFFER India do – trying to help the underprivileged children of Kolkata.

After carefully hearing what he said, Sunita replied that she too used to have long hair, like many Indian women, but had decided to donate it to children surviving cancer, showing appreciation for what Kallol was doing.

This small but sweet encounter remains a deeply cherished memory of our founder.

Sunita Williams has become equivalent to courage and resilience today. Her achievements in the field of science and technology show that nothing is impossible when your goal is clear.

Reminiscing about the meeting, we become hopeful about our path ahead and feel that we too will achieve our goals, bringing a smile to many more children in the future, no matter how difficult the path may become.
