Apart from regular Child rights activities OFFER also takes few wonderful initiatives with their volunteers and supporters throughout Bengal.

Planting Trees:

OFFER as CSR partners with BPCL took on the initiative to make people aware of the importance of planting trees and preservation of forest. By involving school students as they are our future, OFFER went to the nooks and corners of Bankura, Purulia, West Medinipur , Jhargram, Birbhum and planted trees with the help of the school students of that area. It proved to be an educational experience for both the children’s and their parents as we made them aware of the bio diversity and preservation of forest. The plants planted then have grown out to be trees now we still receive pictures of it and brings and smile in our face.

Cleaning Lakes:

Filthy water bodies reduce oxygen levels in lakes and disrupt the aquatic environment. Lake pollution is a global issue that impacts aquatic life. Furthermore, lake pollution can cause a foul odor, harmful gas emissions, and mosquito infestation, which can disturb nearby residents. With this in mind, OFFER decided to clean the water bodies in various parts of Burdwan, Bankura, Birbhum, Howrah, South 24 pgs, Malda, West Medinipur, Jalpaiguri, and East Medinipur. We were able to clean more than 100 lakes in various districts of West Bengal by involving locals in the process.

Oxygen Cylinder Distribution:

OFFER has always taken steps to reach out to its partner NGOs, who are also involved in diverse initiatives in West Bengal's distant areas. OFFER's moto has always been to give back to society. With this in mind, OFFER took the initiative to donate oxygen cylinders and stationery to partner NGOs. So that they can do the same to the community in their area that is in need. Burdwan, Bankura, Birbhum, Howrah, South 24 pgs, Malda, West Medinipur, Jalpaiguri, and East Medinipur were among the districts that came to Apanjan to pick up the Oxygen Cylinders.

Networking with NGO:

With our prolonged working with children we have developed a network of NGO’s who are also working with underprivileged children which is under the supervision of Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and research institute, Belur Math . We observe 14-20 th November as children’s week where we go to various districts of West Bengal and educate and guide parents in becoming better guides.it has been a fruitful journey as we are able to take care and guide parents on various aspects of parenting and also able to provide a better life for the children. It is a path way that we are building towards creating a world for children with secure childhood and better
opportunities.
