Utmost care has been taken to provide all of them with shelter, care, nutrition and medical treatment. They are also exposed to speech therapy, physiotherapy, occupational therapy special education. Most of the children have also been trained to develop personal and social skills, which is of great utility in the day to day life. The children have been taught to peel vegetable, prepare gift bags, candles etc. initiatives whereby they will acquire skill for future livelihood. Different social activities are taken up in order to provide the children with outside exposer with are sponsored by many philanthropic individuals or groups.

Day Care Centre: OFFER identifies how important it is for especially abled children to be trained their own ways. The concept of lifelong care for mentally children includes the effort to make them self-sufficient, to an extent, by providing vocational training. Children are taught to make cakes, muffins, paper bags, etc as per their physical and mental abilities. Inculcating work discipline is also a part of the training. Through OFFER’s initiative of Day Care it is taking steps to achieve that. The day care centre employs six skilled special educators, a physiotherapist, a speech therapist, a music therapist, and an assistant to meet the needs of the 100 local children who attend as well as the children who live there. There is a school bus to pick up and drop off local children who are enrolled in the Day care facility. The Day care centre was closed during the lockdown, but when things returned to normal, the parents of the special needs children in the community asked to reopen it since they could see the improvements their child had made since enrolling in our classes.
